Kunal Shah is A Global Water & Waste Infrastructure Executive with around 15 years of hands on experience in International Business Development, Corporate Strategy & Planning, Marketing, M&A, Investments, Commercialization of technologies, Project Financing and other managerial roles including P&L responsibility.

He serves as Chief Growth Officer & Managing Director – Asia for Anaergia, a global integrated solutions provider for conversion of organic waste and wastewater into carbon negative fuel where he overseas global growth and corporate marketing besides managing P&L for Asia Pacific. Previously he was VP – Global Market Development & Strategy responsible for global marketing and strategic partnerships for the company. Prior to joining Anaergia, he was Country Manager – Malaysia & Indonesia and a member of Global Business Development Team at VA Tech Wabag, world’s third largest pure play water EPC contractor. Kunal has spearheaded successful development and implementation of technology based EPC, DBO and BOT projects in Municipal Solid waste, Biogas, wastewater treatment, sea water desalination, Industrial water & Wastewater reuse projects in South East Asia, Europe, Middle East, India and China.

He has Hands on Experience of developing and building several water and waste projects in three of the World’s largest and fastest growing economies – India, China, and ASEAN. He has lived and worked in Chennai, Manila, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, San Diego and is now based in Singapore.

Kunal is a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from University of Pune, is actively engaged in number of professional activities such as serving as VP and Council Member of Singapore Water Association, Advisory Council Member of World Biogas Association, Council member of Imagine H2O Asia, Global Advisory Council Member of Global Water Impact Fund (GWIF),Advisory Board Member of Operation Water to name a few and is a Singapore Young Water Leader, 2014.

Kunal is an angel investor, advisor/mentor to several global water and waste startups and an active speaker in various global forums on water, waste and renewable energy and is passionate towards the cause of a “Zero Organic Waste future for the World” and “24*7 access to clean drinking water for all globally”.
